the schwa corporation
Schwa boasts the "worlds most complex website." Its probably true. Its defiantly given me a headache.
I think the most fun can be had here. Though maybe I shouldn't call it "fun"
GhostWatch
from irelandseye.com:
"A young linen worker, named Helena Blunden, died after a tragic fall in a Belfast mill in 1912. There are many
people who believe she still haunts the mill today. The printing company which is now based in the mill
building alerted us to unusual, eerie encounters with a ghostly inhabitant.
Visitors to Irelandseye.com were invited on the GhostWatch to view a live broadcast by web camera from a room
in the linen mill and to report if they witnessed unusual, strange events. The web camera has been running 24
hours a day, seven days a week and has attracted some two million visitors. We have published visitors' reports throughout the year and continued to research the
history of the mill."
Audrey Marie Santo
as metioned in FT117, a "akinetic mutistc" (comatosed) girl in Worcester Mass. may be living saint. hm.
Now 15 (?) year old Audrey Marie Santo, has been the center of adoration, skepticism and religious/paranormal investigation and debate. Thousands of visiters have come to her home to experince her healing powers, witness the oil-weeping icon in her room and if they are lucky, catch the marks of the stigmata which some (her family?) say have appeared upon the girl. The Bishop of Worcester released this statement.
lochness webcam
this will be pretty fun... If they ever get it working!
"Yucca Invest Trading Plant"
So, yes this is part of an art exhibit, and since I have not been able to search about, I can't really verify this, but I like it. I like it alot. This reprinted form slashdot.org:
"a Swedish site has a photo of the Daytrading Yucca plant.
This plant is wired up to a computer to trade on the Swedish
stock market in response to its electrical activity. If it makes a profit it is rewarded with water and light, if it makes a loss it is unwatered and sits in the dark. The plant has made an 18 percent profit in the last three months!" Apparently, they stole gooes's idea.
clonaid and CLONAPET
So apparently, Real wants to clone him self and his followers.
When I saw attended a Raelian meeting a few years back I had little
idea that it would come to this, but then again, it does not seem that
farfetched for the Raelians. Actually, it seems a logical conclusion. so
apparently, is June of this year, the Realans held a conference in Montreal
to discuss their ambitions for CLONAID®, INSURACLONE® and CLONAPET®.
American, Dr Richard Seed, was in attendance.
Paganisn in the US Military!
FT 126:
Bob Barr
, a right wing Republican congressman from Georgia, in incensed at the Pentagon for allowing pagan rituals to be practiced on US military bases. In August of 1997, Fort Hood near Austin TX, the US's largest military outpost, became the first to sanction the practice of the Wiccan religion. Since then at least five other installations have followed suite, including Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Wainwright, Arkansas; and Kedena Base in Okinawa. Thirteen installations and two Navy ships are home to Wiccan Study groups. Fort Hodd's Wiccan group, Open Circle- numbering from 40 to 200-
hold twice weekly evening classes on such subjects as the lunar cycle and the meaning of the coven. They conduct rituals at Boy Scout camp on base every full moon and on the eight fire festivals of the year. They wear hooded robes, chant to the lead of their chosen high priestess, and dance around a fire well into the night. A handbook for Army chaplains includes the Church of Satan among groups allowed to worship. Christian zealots habitually confuse Wiccans with Satanist, even though the former have no connections with the Christian Satan. Conservative Christian groups were demanding that Christians boycott the Army, refuse to join or re-enlist until the "satanic rituals" were outlawed. Barr is threatening hearings and legislation, but so far the Army brass has just shrugged of the complaints.
